Welcome to our meditation... Let's take a deep breath. Stretch your arms. Stretch your legs. Relax your body. Relax your mind. Clear your thoughts. Let's focus a moment on why it is we meditate? The mind is a powerful machine. Meditation is the oil that keeps it running smoothly. It relaxes us. It allows us to unwind and set our minds free. It often brings to light things that we are too distracted to notice. It helps us to organize our thoughts. It helps us to appreciate what we have in this life. It adds perspective. It gives us balance. It heals us. It fosters wisdom. It guides us as well as carries us on the path to enlightenment. It teaches us tolerance and acceptance. It teaches us respect and understanding. It shows us how to be more patient, loving and kind. It is our inner voice singing to us. It brings us peace. Meditation is a means of exploring ourselves. The more we know ourselves, the better we can understand others. Let us be thankful for the gift of meditation. And for the beautiful mind that we have been blessed with.
