Welcome to our meditation... Let's start with a deep breath. Do some light stretching to help relax your body. Clear your thoughts. Relax your mind. Today let us explore the path of Transcendental Meditation. Find a quiet place you can be alone for about 20 minutes. The way we accomplish this type of meditation is to not really focus on any one thing. I will give you a simple mantra that you will repeat in your mind. It's not to be spoken aloud, simply enjoy the peace and quiet of your surroundings. Just Be. Clear your thoughts and allow this mantra to be the "background music" of your mind. Hear the deep, beautiful notes resonating in your own imagination. Let your mind and body relax as this mantra loops through your mind. Allow your mind to transcend... Om Namah Shivaya (Ommm Nah-mah Shi vaaa yaaa) This mantra is related to the first six chakras on the spine: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether and the principles which govern those chakras in their place. A rough translation could be 'Om and salutations to that which I am capable of becoming.' This mantra will start one out on the path of subtle development of spiritual attainments. It is the beginning on the path of Siddha Yoga, or the Yoga of Perfection of the Divine Vehicle.
