Mantra

Welcome to our meditation... Let us take a deep breath. Stretch your arms. Stretch your legs. Relax your body. Relax your mind. Clear your thoughts. Let us focus for a moment on this classic mantra used throughout the world: Om Mani Padme Hum, pronounced ohm mah nee pahd may hung. The final consonant although spelled hum, is often pronounced hung like the word sung: Om Mani Padme Hung. Now say it. As you repeat it stretch out the syllables a little longer each time. Take deep breaths in between. Allow each syllable to drift through your mind with ease. Om Mani Padme Hum generally means the (om) divine spirit, (mani) the jewel, (padme) in the lotus and (hum) the path to wisdom. All of these together lead us on the path to enlightenment. As you repeat these words, try to visualize the connection between them. Feel your own self connecting with them. Allow them to resonate throughout your being. Fill yourself with the positive and loving vibration of this ancient mantra. Here is a beautiful rendition for you to chant along with by Deva Premal
