Welcome to our meditation... Take a deep breath. Stretch your arms. Stretch your legs. Relax your body. Relax your mind. Let us imagine we are about to go for a hike around a lake. The weather is pleasant. There is a well worn trail winding its way through the trees, grass, rocks and dirt. You are unsure as to how far this hike will be. The unknowns in life always manage to spark our imaginations. Not knowing the outcome of a situation can tend to make time crawl. As we walk further away from the place we are familiar with, we begin to dream up the endless possibilities of "what ifs?" The better prepared we are, the more peace of mind we can achieve. Being prepared gives us the strength and confidence to go further, faster. Not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well. For our small journey around the lake we could at the very least bring along some water, sunscreen, food and an extra jacket in our backpack. Just having those things will give us peace of mind. Life is very much like our little hike around the lake. Stepping into the unknown can be fun and exciting! We can never be fully prepared but we can be well prepared. Meditation can assist us in preparing for Life's twists and turns - as well as offer us some peace of mind. Right turns and wrong turns, no matter what happens, Life is always a beautiful journey.
