Calm


Welcome to our meditation... Let us take a deep breath. Do some light stretching. Stretch your arms and your legs. Roll your shoulders. Relax your mind. Let us focus on our breathing. Focus on the soothing sound of our own breath. Let us think of things that are calm: A still lake of polished glass. A colorful sunset over the desert. White fluffy clouds drifting across a blue sky. These thoughts can bring us to a more peaceful state of being. The words cast images across our minds. They evoke memories of peaceful moments we once experienced first hand. Our mind becomes a powerful tool in changing the overall state of our body. Sometimes it is best to take a step back so we are able to take a leap forward in life. The next time you feel overwhelmed try to create a mental list of things that are calm. Or keep a list handy to read over. Being calm allows us to think more clearly and act more wisely.
