Welcome to our meditation... Take a deep breath. Close your eyes. Stretch your arms and fingers. Stretch your legs and toes. Relax. Breathe. Imagine yourself in the mountains. You are standing at the base and in front of you stands a horse. He is saddled and ready to go. He wants to take you to the top of the mountain. You climb atop the horse. Think of a quality you would like to improve in yourself. Let this be the name of your horse. You get comfortable in your saddle and stirrups and the horse begins his ascent up the mountain. As he makes his way through the tall grass and trees you become more and more comfortable and trusting in your new friend. He seems very familiar with the surroundings and climbs effortlessly up the challenging terrain. As you ride along you take in the beautiful scenery. The blue sky, the sunshine and the Aspens fluttering in the breeze. The fresh mountain air fills your lungs. The horse makes his way to the ridge and as you crest the top of the mountain you can see for miles and miles. You sit there a moment at the top and close your eyes. You feel the strength of the horse beneath you. You feel the peace in your heart. Your mind and body is filled with the beauty of the moment. The quality you gave to the horse lives within you. You just need to trust in the fact that it is there. The only way to improve on this quality is to place yourself in situations where it can be practiced. Step out of your comfort zone. Step into a new experience. Watch yourself grow stronger with each step. Feel the strength of this newly developed quality lift you to greater heights. Enjoy the journey. Feel the peace and fulfillment of such an accomplishment - those are the true rewards.
